French modern music

The highly growing music company nowadays has already reach France.  It is true that some musicians might only be famous in France like Caroline Costa, Camelia Jordana or Alexandre Kinn; however there are some other like Alizée and David Guetta who have become famous all around the world.

Alizée!

Alizée as you might already know is a female singer who was born on Corsica on August 21, 1984. She started dancing classes since the age of 4 all the way through the age of 15.  In 1999 she debuted in Graines de Star, a talent show where she showed the audience and the judges her talent. Once introduced to the music industry Alizée didn´t lose time and she published in 2000: Gourmandises, her first album. Her discography includes the following albums:

• 2010 Une enfant du siécle

The music genre she interprets is: electropop, a fusion between pop and electronic music although she likes to vary. Ever since her first album she has been well received by not only the French but also the international audience. She affirms her models or inspirations are Madonna, Whitney Houston, Mylene Farmer and Gwen Stephani. Although she is young, she has already won a world music award.

David Guetta!

Who has not heard about the most famous DJ: David Guetta, probably very few. David Pierre Guetta was born on november 7 1967. During the 80´s and the 90´s, Guetta, began to play his music in different nightclubs and private parties, although by that time he was studying laws. David and his friend Kiend were in charge of organizing the different places that took place in certain nightclubs, and slowly they end up owning some of these nightclubs.

It was until 2002, when Guetta decided to sell the nightclubs he owned in order to launch himself as a record producer. In the year 2005 he began to emerge from anonymity, his first musical hits were “money” and “Just a little more love”. The same year he launched his first single: “The world is mine” which reached the first position in the billboard lists of that year.
